Sherri's book not only changed my perception of what Christian fiction is supposed to be (in that her characters are real people with real life issues), it also provided me with a great example of the type of writing that African-American writers -- and others, for that matter -- should strive to create. For the first time, I'm holding a copy of my book in my hand!!!!!

So I'm checking my email last night and there's this reader telling me that she read my book and she loved it and enjoyed it and couldn't wait until for my next book to come out. I was all excited but then I had to wonder, how did you have a copy of my book and I don't?!!!!

Turns out, that in spite of the release date of July 3rd, it's available in Borders and tomorrow will be available in Barnes and Noble!!!!!! So of course, I got myself to the closest Borders I could find as soon as I could. And there it was, right there on the table, 4 books down my my favoritest author's book, Victoria Christopher Murray's The Ex-Files. To see my book on a table near hers...

I can't even begin to explain the feeling of holding it in my hands for the first time.
Monumental!!!!!!
